The details

Greenpop's Reforest Fest returns. This annual restoration festival brings people together to plant thousands of trees while enjoying a celebration and various festivities.

Reforest Fest is Greenpop’s biggest tree-planting initiative. It facilitates the planting of 5000 to 10 000 indigenous trees each year, contributing towards Greenpop’s Uilenkraal Forest Restoration Project. Trees are planted to restore degraded forest patches at the Platbos Forest Reserve and Bodhi Khaya Nature Retreat. This has helped save endangered, species, such as the elusive apex predator, the Cape Leopard, as indigenous forests are crucial to the animals' survival.

This is where creativity meets participation, with attendees having an array of entertainment including interactive art and theatre for the whole family. The weekend-packed festivities include helping restore degraded land and attending workshops, talks and classes. There is also local live music, DJs and delightful treats from the wholesome food village.
