The original – and now world-famous – Scratch Patch is a place where visitors can have loads of fun “scratching” for their favourite tumble-polished gemstones.
Visitors purchase a bag, then get to sift through and collect thousands of polished stones that quite literally cover the floor. The selection of stones include a wide variety of tumble-polished gemstones with mostly popular Southern African stones such as Tiger’s Eye, Rose Quartz, Amethyst, Jasper, Agates and Crystals.
At their two locations in Cape Town, visitors can find virtually anything including Lapis Lazuli, Blue Lace Agate and some really exotic stones.
