The details

Scene It harnesses the collective power of short videos to promote creatives in Cape Town.

Via a series of public campaigns, it curates the best short video submissions to create themed video ‘routes’.

The canal of Battery Park cuts from the Waterfront to the city, creating a little-known pedestrian route linking the two. Along the way, there’s a myriad of fascinating features, from the Bascule Bridge and the Dragon boats by the Cape Grace Hotel to the SUP jetty and skatepark of the old Amsterdam Battery.

The students at the Waterfront Theatre School were challenged to take their talents out of the theatre and provide some entertainment inspired by various aspects of the route. And the talented Dylan Pereira captured it all on film.

Click on the website link to view the videos or - better still - head to the Waterfront and find the QR codes to watch the videos in the same place in which they were filmed. You can also film and submit your own video for consideration!
