Up for a fun Saturday shindig? Proudly Capetionian gin label TWO GINGERS are on a mission to make history by breaking a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS ™ title for the largest gin tasting event at Moving the Mountain – Cape Town’s Record-Breaking Music Fest.
Set against the iconic backdrop of Table Mountain this live music event in Cape Town takes place at Newlands Cricket Ground on Saturday, 7 October 2023 from 11h00am. You can look forward to a day of fun, food and entertainment and more importantly, the opportunity to break a World Record.
Two Gingers founders, Simon Cranswick and Wynand de Vries believe that history is best made when shared with kindred spirits and invite you; gin enthusiasts and party aficionados to raise a glass with them!
A fab line-up of local acts
The gig roster for the Moving the Mountain festival is nothing short of legendary. Your host for the event is Radio 5 DJ Dan Corder who is opening up the stage for the likes of DJ Gremlin, acclaimed artists Matthew Mole, Spoegwolf, Neon Dreams and Jimmy Nevis, along with Acoustic Element, Amy Jones, Congo Cowboys and Nhoza.
Deputy Mayor Eddie Andrews will attend to officially open the proceedings, while the official record auditing process is led by Cape Town’s top spirits’ judge, Leah van Deventer.

Tickets are available through TicketPro at R550 per person, and Golden Circle Ticket holders can join the elite ranks of world record busters for R850 per person.
Larger groups and corporates of 24 or more can enjoy a special suite space for R10,080. All tickets include a goodie bag, a world record memento, and mini, limited edition bottles of TWO GINGERS Gin to take part in the official audited GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS ™ tasting. Please note that this is an 18 and over event.
Moving the Mountain is also about giving back and Simon and Wynand have pledged to give a portion of the proceeds to three charities close to their hearts. Wandisa is a specialist child protection and adoption agency based in Sea Point doing good work, U_Turn helps equip people with skills to overcome homelessness, and TEARS Animal Rescue is responsible for giving our four-legged friends a second chance.
